LOCAL QUESTIONS. A CLEARER PICTURE.

Your district.
Your perspective.

No pollsters. No Lobbyists. No Agendas. Just you and your neighbors.

Residency is self-reported. A street-address match identifies a South Dakota state senate district; it does not prove who lives there. These are community polls, not official elections or representative surveys.

What should your district weigh in on?

Propose a yes or no policy question. A district admin reviews it before it becomes a public poll.

About the sample questions

The labeled samples use South Dakota’s four listed 2026 general-election ballot measures, with simplified question wording. Results are actual responses within this app, starting at zero—not official election results. Community-poll closing times are shown on each card.

Your requests

RESIDENT QUESTION SUBMISSION

Start with a clear question.

Questions go to your district’s admin for review. Submitting does not publish a poll.

Do not include names, addresses, or other personal information. A confirmed email and completed district lookup are required to submit.

Your District Voice account

Signup has three steps: create your account, confirm your email, then confirm your district using your street address. District confirmation is required to vote or submit policy questions.

Finish signup: confirm your district

Your address is used for a Census lookup and is not saved. Review the match and confirm that you live there to complete signup. Residency is self-reported.

Voting privacy

Your profile contains your account ID, district, city, ZIP, and self-reported address-match status. The app does not save your street address or the Census lookup response.

Each ballot contains the question, an opaque per-question identifier, and your current yes/no answer. There is no named voter list or individual-answer export for admins. Signing in lets you replace your answer until closing.

This is private polling, not cryptographically anonymous voting. An operator with the server secret and account access could derive the ballot identifier. Hosting and Census services may retain technical logs. Small live result changes can also reveal a participant’s answer through timing.

Email confirmation and address matching do not prevent a person from using multiple accounts or claiming someone else’s address. Residency remains self-reported.
